Every year, with the city of Dania Beach’s approval, several South Florida based organizations, ocean minded scuba divers, top side pier and beach side volunteers come together to make a large positive impact on Dania Beach. In order to do this the pier is shut down for several hours allowing the volunteers to work safely.
Hosted by Divers Cove, Stoked on Salt, SOS Ocean Clean Up and the Broward County Surfrider Chapter the 8th Annual Dania Beach Pier Clean Up was a huge success! The over 250 scuba divers and top side volunteers removed over 1,200 lbs of marine debris from under the pier as well as from the beach.
